Still awaiting a response to my gift card credit.
Never received a new movie card with all my current cards consolidated into one card. These were a gift to my family .
Never used all of them due to covid. Talked to Fandango representative she checked all active cards.
Told me to send pictures of front and back of crds and the amounts for each to Fandango for a consolidated card with all the amounts added together in one card for use. Never received one.

Verified ReviewerRefund policy is useless for problems at the theater
I attended a screening at AMC Lincoln Square yesterday. The sound in the theater was broken (dialogue only coming through one speaker in a far corner of the theater), but the staff said it would be fixed, each of the several times we asked.
It never was, and when I asked the theater manager, he said I'd need to contact Fandango. (He also said the sound issue was a known, ongoing problem.) Fandango refused to help, saying that refunds must be initiated "prior to showtime".
It should be clear that it's impossible to ask for a refund before you are aware that the theater isn't working, and while you are actively being told by theater staff that they're working on the problem.

I'd give them 0 if that was an option. I have never experienced so many issues trying to spend money.
You are not guaranteed anything when you give them your money. They can cancel at anytime and then good luck getting your money back or even a human to assist you. The same dude Nkosinathi, N does NOT care about their customers nor their experience. Their entire revenue stream is based on the $1 "convenience fee" that they will not refund, regardless of who cancelled.
They cancelled my tickets and concession stand purchase less than 24 hours before my movie. I was asked 567 times to save time and get my food now, so stupidly, I spent $30 on popcorn and drinks for a movie that was cancelled on me without notice. I have yet to receive a refund. Mr Nkosinathi at Fandango support that's provided by @Salesforce, could care less and refuses to give me the confirmation # for the cancelled food that I never cancelled.
To top it off, they are texting me to go get my food. If you give them your money, you'll never get it back. And any credits they issue you, are worthless bc the theatre won't accept "passes". The only way to guarantee you can see the film on the day and time purchased, is to drive your happy *** to the theater the Day before and buy a literal paper ticket.
I feel really stupid seeing the 1.7 rating as I'm leaving a review I wish I had read before I gave them a single penny. $1 taken from every customer regardless if goods or services are provided is what's keeping this company afloat. Don't give them anything bc you won't get anything in return. I've never had such a terrible customer service experience.
And shame on me for not reading a recent review of this scam of a company. No seat is guaranteed so save yourself and buy direct from theatre. Contacted again multiple times and finally got Dimakatso,M, same terrible service and still refuses to give me a confirmation# of the refund they are claiming they issued.
Also disconnected chat and suddenly no one is available. I've left a review on Yelp, the BBB, Reddit and Google and more.

Buy at your own risk. If you need to cancel your tickets for any reason, including the theater shutting down half of their theaters due to A/C problems, Fandango offers the following:
1. Refunds excluding service fees.
2. Exchanges to order a different movie or voucher.
I can't believe they don't make any exceptions, even if the circumstances are beyond the consumer's control, on the theater's end! Never again will I use their services. Buyer beware!

Verified ReviewerWon’t refund prebought tickets that when we went to theatre the movie was NOT even playing there!
Booked movie Sight for Tuesday, May 28th, through Fandango at 7:15 pm for Cinemark. Went to the theatre, bought $22 worth of snacks, and walked to the ticket taker podium only to be told that the movie was NOT playing there.
They confirmed my ticket was for their location, date, and time. They couldn't give a refund since the tickets were purchased through Fandango. Tried the refund protocol through the app, who told me they couldn't do it since the show date had passed.
They gave me a number to call, and they were rude and said since the theater didn't notify them they were NOT showing the movie, they wouldn't reimburse me. Lesson learned, App deleted.

When I booked 3 tickets for Sunday July 21 the email confirmation never came so I figured it did not go thru. I booked them again and when the confirmation came there were 2 of them.
So I was billed twice. I want a refund for 3

I tried creating an account for a digital copy of a movie. This site told me that it sent me an email to confirm my account but I have not received an email.
I have looked in my inbox and in my trash folder. I have tried for over an hour and no one will answer on customer service.
I just got disconnected. So, I am out of a digital copy of the movie and there is nothing I can do.

Problem with Ordering tickets online
I had a problem with order my tickets online. It stated that I can order up to 20 seats but when I tried to order it would not process.
I spoke to the customer service rep who suggested I log off of their online site and download the app to order. When I downloaded the app I was able to place my order 9 seats at a time.

I ordered some gift cards from Sams Club FedEx delivery them but it was delivered to a wrong place I open a case and they told me that they couldnt find the package to contact the shipper I been calling different places and no one is giving me answers Sams Club told me the the third party send them and they are responsible I called fandango and they dont have no record of any of the order Im so mad I dont know what to do Im tired of calling all this different and still dont have no answer the gate where they deliver is wired gate and my is wood gate grey totally different

Lack of customer service and ridiculous refund policy
Paid for two movie tickets through the Fandango website . The movie was playing at TLC Chinese theater.
Unbeknownst to me and my BF, there was not one but 3 events going on at the Dolby theater next door (which uses the same parking structure as the Chinese Theater) we had NO access to escalators going up to get the the theater , no access to any elevators either. They were all going down. There were swarms of people leaving the event(s) so I guess parking structure management opted to have the escalators and elevators all going down to facilitate the patrons after the event(s). I saw no visible stair access either.
We got there 5 minutes before the showtime , which usually we have no issues with. There was so much chaos we decided to go back home after spending well Ive 5 minutes to access an elevator . The parking is underground so no Internet access either, which meant I could not cancel my ticket to the movie . Had I know these events were talking place next door to the movie theater, I wouldnt have bothered to purchase tickets.
Anyway, once I gain access to the site again (20 minutes after we get there and exit the structure ) I go to fandango to get a refund and the screen says can not issue refund as the movie has already started , umm, excuse me but we all know there are previews before movies and the actual movie doesnt start until 10-15 mins after the posted showtime/previews. I then call Fandangos customer service line and both customer service agents who answered, were basically useless. They kept regurgitating the same Im sorry, we understand verbiage over and over. They told me I had to call the theater myself and have the theater contact them to inform them that we can not access their venue.
Excuse me , but that is not my job. Thats your job as a customer service rep. Its also not my fault that the parking structure has horrible escalator and elevator access and made it basically impossible for us to use them. Not my fault there is no internet access available in under ground parking structure and not my fault there were 3 chaotic events taking place next door at the Dolby theater or whatever theater is next to the Chinese theater .
Basically I spent close to 40 dollars on two movie tickets for nothing. The agent actually questioned me as to why I didnt cancel my order half an hour before the movie started. Excuse me sir, but I just explained to you that we knew nothing about the events taking place and had no access to escalator or elevators as all of them were being used by the patrons leaving the play to whatever event was going on . Had I seen stair access, I wouldve used it .
So In other words not their problem, my problem. Oh well. Im SOL.
Last time I used their horrible site . Ill make sure to tell others to stay clear of them and their horrible customer service too.

Bought tickets in Shreveport but website changed it to Texas
After talking to theater in Shreveport they said this happens all the time. Finally got a day off from work to take my wife out and this happens. Theater gave me the number to fandango but the time I talked to someone the movie time was started 5 minutes earlier so no refund stated by fandango customer service people.

Fandango system new system sucks
I purchased a group set of tickets from Fandango they sent the tickets as one ticket. I have done this before and came as separate tickets.
When I called to ask them to split the tickets up they told me the system changed and they can't and there is management to help me. The also could refund and let me purchase the tickets again.
Don't use Fandango app
I spoke with Fandango twice about refunding my tickets or exchanging they refused. I paid for 5 tickets and they wouldn't give me anything back.
Tried canceling through their app and with a representative with no luck.
Representatives were extremely rude. I won't be using their app to purchase tickets going further.
