I went to buy tickets online through one theater, then when I went to the theater and showed them my phone it would not scan, I saw that somehow it had defaulted to my other theater. We had to buy tickets at the theater, but since the movie had started I could no longer get a refund.

My friend bought the tickets as he felt bad that I had already paid for them so I have no proof of repurchase.

I asked Fandango for a refund, but they required proof of repurchase which I do not have since my friend bought the tickets. I will no longer use Fandango, such a simple thing that they can fix with a few clicks of a mouse, but would rather steal from me.

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

Monetary Loss: $30.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Fandango Pros: Pricing was a little lower than box office.

Fandango Cons: Ridiculous refund policy, Refused to refund and the hung up on me.

dear anonymous, you clearly are a fandango employee. I understand your frustration, If I worked for that company I'd be frustrated too. After all dealing with complaints all day about the lousy service you can't help but be upset, we forgive you for being misguided.

Why would they refund if you couldn't provide proof of repurchase? For all they know you used the tickets and are asking for money back.

It's a simple and very common refund procedure. Your friend must not be a very good friend if you can't simply get a receipt or statement from him to send to Fandango.

You are the lazy one here. Also..perhaps pay attention next time instead of blaming "default" when you buy online.
