Made mistake in purchasing tickets on Fandango for the wrong day. Called immediately, but they refused to provide refund. Asked to speak to manager. Waited on hold for 30 minutes, then required to leave my contact information. Said they would call back within 24 hours. They called and left a message on my cell while i was out. Now, I'm back in line waiting to speak to a manager. Absolutely outrageous policy! Terrible customer service approach. Regal should not use them.I will not use Fandango again.

I am dissapointed

I have been enjoying going to the movies since the age of 10 by myself I am 47 now and still enjoy going to movies. My wife thought it would be a good Valentine gift for me and bought me 2 $25 Fandango gift card. Never used them before I was unaware of there return policy . Apparently if you buy a ticket and you can't make it there policy is oh well so sad you just gave us your hard earn money to us for free. I promise you this Fandango as long as I live you will never get a dime OF MY MONEY EVER AGAIN! Anytime you guys are mention and I am within ear shot I will take the time to bad mouth you guys to the 25th power JERKS!

I'm extremely disappointed about a transaction made on Saturday, Jan. 30th. I meant to purchase a ticket for the 31st. I immediately recognized my error and called customers service. They informed me that since the showing time of the ticket was in an hour that there was nothing they could do and I was basically out of $15. As someone who works in customer service, it was disheartening that this company offered no solutions, especially since I was just asking for an exchange not canceling. The company would not have lost any money. I've used fandango for years and the first time an error is made and I need their assistance they turned their backs and said " your problem, not ours".

My message to Fandango ..... Your website guided me to the wrong movie theater I bought tickets to the wrong movie called your 1-800 number immediately the lady told me but there was nothing she could do for me because it was less than two hours before the film was going to start. Then she spoke with a supervisor who just asked her to repeat what she had already told me. This is horrible customer service it was an honest mistake this was a gift card and I was using that I got for Christmas so if this is indeed your policy especially when your website was not clear and guided me to the wrong theater then I will not be doing business with you anymore nor will the person who bought me the gift card as I have explained the situation to them as well. I can only imagine there are many customers who have equally been burned and at some point you guys may be looking at some kind of lawsuit for this kind of behavior. Taking someone's money and not offering a refund is a horrible business practice and tantamount to theft.

Purchased tickets on accident for wrong theater. Contacted them within 5 minutes and they refused to issue a refund or switch tickets to other location)(or just simply put a stop on the pending payment??) . Fast response to complaint, but pathetic policies that leave you absolutely screwed. Will not be using them ever again.

Just following up. Got ahold of them after 50 min.

Told that they couldn't do anything. Looks like it's time to file fraud charges with the credit union and stop payment.

Looked on the web turns out this is a common thing with fandango. This place is the worst and they are a complete scam

No reservation when I arrived, horrible customer service

I ordered 6 tix for Star Wars on 1-6-16. Got to the theater no reservation, even though I had a reservation # and they took the money from my account. the theater manager finally told us to take our sets after trying to print the tix for 15 minutes going back and forth to the kiosk and box office. Then people began coming to claim their seats we were sitting in. The second group were very nasty. Apparently, our seats were resold. Of course I sent an email. I got an immediate response saying my issue would be addressed within 24 hours. Nothing. after 10 days I sent another email. There was a crazy response, addressing some other issue and ending with a statement about how the issue was now resolved. OK then I had to call. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! He hardly spoke English and I could not understand him. DO NOT EVER USE FANDANGO!!!!!

We went to the Theaters at Canal Place in New Orleans. DO NOT GO TO THIS THEATER IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN UNDER 18! This theater is a "ADULT ONLY" theater - as we found out when we went up to the box office to pick up the tickets. I bought tickets through Fandango ( NO MENTION ON THE WEBSITE OF THIS ADULT ONLY issue).for Star Wars on Christmas Day because we were on vacation and my children, age 11,13,14,18 asked to see it since it was sold out back home. Great! Fandango showed seats available for the 10 o'clock showing. We were totally bummed out. The box office gal asked the children's age and flatly said, " they can't see the movie, but the three adults can". What were we going to do with the three children!? Let them roam on Bourbon Street?!? When I asked for a refund, she did smoothly give us the refund like it was not anything new. She then said that children are only allowed before 6pm (there was a small notice at the box office window). Of course, she did not refund the Fandango service charge. When I later called Fandango, they admitted they did not know of this theater's age policy and said the usual "I am sorry for your inconvenience, blah, blah, blah" Still they will not refund my service charge. It was a call to American Express that they reassured me will get back the service charge. I do not care about the money, it is the principal. Lesson learned, stick with the big movie theater companies (AMC , Cinemark, Regal) when in unfamiliar territory. Second be prepared to eat the Fandango service fee if anything goes wrong with your movie experience.

I purchased two IMAX tickets through Fandango. My husband got called in to work due to an emergency. I tried to cancel the purchase but it would not allow me. Their policy is very misleading. It reads "You've got two hours before your movie starts to return your tickets". That tells me I can cancel within two hours before the movie start time. Apparently this is not the case. I think this is not explained appropriately. I think they do it on purpose to confuse the consumer. All they have to say to be clear "any ancellations would have be done no less than two hours before your movie start time.

I purchased with Paypal and have a Paypal card. Instructions said that I could use my card to pick up tickets at theater. I left my phone home as I always do when going to theater. Upon arrival at theater, the box office said that they could not read a Paypal card. I needed to buy new tickets, but Fandango would refund what I purchased through them. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes with Fandango, guess what-- No refund. They say it's not their fault the theater could not read my card. I asked for supervisor, waited on hold AGAIN, only to get voicemail. EVERYONE passing the buck. Moral: Don't trust a service like Fandango to sell you someone else's tickets, and certainly don't rely on Fandango to have speedy or helpful costumer service. NEVVVVVER AGAIN!

This is the worst! I purchased 2 tickets to see Star Wars and thought I was purchasing at AMC Marple 10 in Springfield. I purchased about 40 minutes prior to showtime. My daughter and I arrived at the theater at 12:20 only to be told that these tickets are to another theater more than 1/2 hour drive away. The show at the current theater is currently sold out, as is the next show. I tried to immediately contact Fandango and only live chat option is offered for contact. I was told I was number 161 in the cue, and my wait time is 32 hours. You do not list your phone number on your web site. I had to google it. I sat on hold at the movie theater 31 minutes and could not get through. Dealing with your company awful!!! We simply went home, and I am still on hold with this *** company. After 1 hour of hold time I reached a representative who told me that Fandago can't do anything because I didn't cancel two hours before the show. I replied that this is a ridiculous policy because not only did I purchase within 40 minutes of the show, Fandago hold time for chat is 32 hours. The representative said she'd transfer me to a supervisor. She said there is no hold time to speak to a supervisor. I sat on hold 30 minutes for a supervisor before being disconnected. Fandango is the worst!!! Fandango sucks!!!

This was the most unprofessional exchange ever. Prior to me making my ticket purchase, the return policy was not made clear to me. Being that I purchased my tickets while en route to the theater, I was made to believe that if I arrived late and was unable to redeem my tickets, that I could exchange them for a different showing. I called Fandango's customer service line several times and each time my time on hold lasted over 40 minutes. Getting through to the live online customer service agents was impossible! I am disgusted at the way I was spoken to and the way this website has stolen my hard earned money.
