They screwed up my order and then refused to refund my payment even though the show time day was in the future. They told me that their system did not allow them to issue the refund. I tried for over 20 minutes to get Fandango to process my ticket order, first on my mobile and then on my computer. I called the theatre, Marcus Elgin and they recommended movietickets.com. You can't play this title, your Roby is registered to another account. (No it's not) Please dial phone number for customer care. We called. Robo picks up and says "for fandango now, call a different number" hangs up. We Dial 2nd number. It does SAME thing, "dial a third number for assistance." We do. Theater couldn't let us in because of "maintenance" and told us they'd refund or exchange our tickets. Once they saw that we ordered through Fandango, they told us to contact them. I got on the phone and after an hour got nowhere. Went through weeks of back and forth emails, still nothing. I ordered my tickets around 615. My wife gets sick in truck on way to movie. I go online in truck at 710 to cancel 715 show (before movie time). It sayd cant cancel inside 2hr window of movie (BS). I chat with csr and find that my reason wasnt good enough so she says that only corporate can make decision to give me my refund. I paid over 2$ convenience fee for what. To be told too bad. There are many potential issues that can arise with mobile electronic transactions. As a result, putting a temporary hold on funds every single time an error occurs can cause a huge inconvenience to your customers. I used the Fandango site from my mobile and once I chose the theater I was then asked to select the date, which I did. I choose Sept 10th and it loaded the shows and the times. I then chose my movie, the time, and selected my seats as it was reserved seating. After checking out, my confirmation came through with the 9th as the reservation date. I picked the wrong movie. went to cancel. noticed afterwards the cancellation didn't take. called CS. the person wouldn't help. robotically quoting policies. could see both movies I purchased. said couldn't see the time of purchase/attempted cancellation. wouldn't budge. My aunt purchased a fandango gift card for several relatives birthdays, including my boyfriend. We were excited to get out for a date and started reserving our tickets as we drove to the theater. As we got close, we found out that there was a Redskins game going on a few blocks from the theatre, and traffic was grid locked.
